SALINE TATTOO REMOVAL/LIGHTENING

EMERGENCY REMOVAL

If you have received botched brows, or other small tattoo, we can administer an emergency treatment IF within 24hrs of having botched work.  If done within 24 hrs, the odds of removing a majority of the pigment in one session are great.
We offer Emergency Removal at both our locations: Face Envy in Salem, OR and Face Envy II in Vancouver, WA

If it has been longer than 24hrs, unfortunately the skin is too far into its healing process and you must wait until you are completely healed, usually 6-8 weeks, before we can begin removal/lightening treatments.

WHAT IS SALINE TATTOO REMOVAL/LIGHTENING?

Sarah is trained and certified in A+ Ocean Saline Removal.

A+ Ocean takes the finest sea salt in the world and refines it through an intensive filtering process to  ensure that it is as pure as possible.

This process works by creating a natural scab and is similar to a tattoo process only instead of implant,  a saline solution is used to draws pigment out of the skin.  As the skin heals, scabs form and flake off to reveal lightened pigment.

Unlike laser, saline removal can lighten/remove all pigment colors.

This service is only available from Trained, Certified & License Professionals.  A+Ocean is safe for use on the face and around the eyes making it ideal for helping those who are unhappy with their PMU (permanent makeup) Brows.

WHAT IS THE ACTUAL PROCEDURE LIKE?

Using a machine, it work much like tattooing does, but a solution is used to draw pigment out of the skin vs implanting something in the skin.  The solution used will produce the hypertonic reaction, causing cells to release the pigment to the epidermis level of the skin.

During treatment, the client my experience minor bleeding, bruising, swelling and/or irritation. The treated area will be tender for a few days. The skin should scab over and heal over the course of a few weeks. Fading will happen gradually over several months.

Clients should expect anywhere from 2-10 treatments before they see desired results.  Treatments are done 7-10 weeks apart.

With this method of tattoo removal, clients can expect the tattoo to become lighter, but a full removal should not be expected.  The goal is lighten your tattoo/pmu enough so that it can be covered with new work, or light enough so that the client can use cosmetics to create the brows they like and allow the rest to fade naturally with time.

WHAT IS HEALING LIKE?

The goal is to create a superficial, controlled scab. As the skin heals naturally, the scab will fall off to reveal lightened pigment.  It may take several sessions to lighten your brows enough to proceed with new brow pmu.  It depends on how fresh your pmu is, how saturated and the general condition of the client's skin.

Best results for saline removal/lightening are done within the first 24 hours of receiving pmu.  After 24 hours, we must wait 4+ weeks to begin this service.

Not going to lie: the healing process its not pretty.  The brows will scab.  This is because the solution is drawing pigment: out, scabbing is actually the goal for saline lightening/removal.

Because this can leave the client feeling self conscious, we carry some very cute, fashionable, over-sized glasses that cover the brows perfectly.  The large rims will help hide your brows and make you feel more confident during the healing process.

You can also give Amazon and EBay a search.

DOES IT HURT?

This is hard to answer as everyone's pain tolerance varies greatly.  Face Envy numbs clients with topical numbing agents to help with discomfort.
